Call for Make 'n' Take/Roundtable Proposals
2009 California Agriculture in the Classroom Conference

Presenters
We are seeking strong presenters who can provide specific research, discussion topics, teaching strategies and practical connections to the subject areas of nutrition, school gardens and agriculture. Presentations must be education-based and provide agricultural resources and/or insight suitable for a K-12 classroom setting: topics will prepare educators with skills to teach agriculture concepts in English-language arts, mathematics, history-social science, science and visual and performing arts and meet academic content standards for California public school requirements. Hands-on activities are encouraged.

Make 'n'Take/Roundtable

Saturday, October 24 from 9:40 am – 11:00 am (Set-up time is from 6:30 am – 8:00 am)
Three 20-minute Hands-on Project Sessions
Maximum 60 participants total

Make 'n' Take/Roundtable Discussion sessions will be held immediately following the morning general session.
We are requesting that presenters be set up prior to the start of general session, as attendees will remain at their seats for the breakfast, general session and throughout the first Make 'n' Take/Roundtable rotation.
