Continuing Education Units
California State University, Chico is offering two units of 800 level professional service credit (30 hours) for the symposium. The two units are available at $60 per unit. Processing forms will be available during on-site registration.

Attendees Asked to Dig Deeper
The California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom invites educators to the 2007 AITC Symposium in Pacific Grove, Monterey County. This is not our typical "conference" as attendees will be asked to dig deeper and consider the top impacts facing the agriculture industry in the 21st century, while finding ways to integrate these lessons into the classroom.

Literacy for Life
The symposium theme, "Literacy for Life," will prepare teachers to educate their students about the leading agricultural state in the Union and America’s top producer of goods. Annually, educators travel to this venue from urban, suburban, and rural California seeking a better understanding of agriculture and how to include lessons in their curriculum that will benefit students for a lifetime. Speakers and sessions will focus on engaging teachers and students through compelling agricultural lessons that include nutrition, gardens, and much more.

The 2007 AITC Symposium will be held at the Asilomar Conference Grounds, a California State Park located along the Pacific shoreline, just minutes from Monterey. Enjoy a serene atmosphere that boasts prime opportunities for learning, exploring and a brief escape from the fast-pace of daily routines... join us on the Central Coast!
